The problem

Groceries went up 25% in four years.
Nobody has time to compare prices. So we did it for you — every item, every store, every trip.

How it works

Four steps. Five minutes. A cheaper trip, forever.

01

Set your stores.

Drop your zip. Tap the stores you shop at — Aldi, Trader Joe's, Ralphs, Vons, Sprouts. That's onboarding.

02

Build your list.

Search and add the items you'd normally buy. Whole milk. Eggs. Chicken breast. Everything.

03

Tap Optimize.

We price every item at every store you picked, then solve for the lowest-total combination.

04

Shop the trip.

List grouped by store, tap to cross off as you go, mark complete, savings land in your dashboard.

Real numbers

$100+ saved on a typical 70-item list.

Not a promo. Not a coupon. Just buying the same groceries from the right stores. Users run Grocery Routes once a week. The dashboard tracks it all.

"Ran my normal list. It pulled $43 off. I drove to two stores instead of one and was home in under an hour."

— Maria G., Oxnard

"Feels like a cheat code. I had no idea Aldi was that much cheaper on basics."

— Devon R., Thousand Oaks

"I'm a family of five. This app paid for itself the first trip — and it's free."

From the founder

"I just wanted to know which store was cheaper before I left the house. Turns out, so did everyone else."

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is Grocery Routes free?

Yes. 100% free today. Long-term we'll add a freemium tier with ads, but the core comparison will always stay free.

Which stores does it support?

Aldi, Trader Joe's, Ralphs, Vons, Sprouts, and Walmart (beta). See the full list.

Where does it work?

Fully optimized for Ventura County, CA. Live and working in Los Angeles County too. Request your zip in the app — we expand based on demand.

How is it different from Basket, Flipp, or Instacart?

Basket compares lists but not items, Grocery Routes is a full shopping optimizer. Flipp is coupons and circulars. Instacart focuses on delivery. We check actual shelf prices and build you one optimized multi-store trip.

Do prices come from stores directly?

Yes — from publicly available store prices.

Do I have to shop in-store?

Yes. Grocery Routes is an in-person shopping tool to help in person price decisions. You can't beat the shelf prices!

Android?

Summer 2026. iOS-first was first while we nail the core experience. Drop your email on the journal page if you want to be told when Android lands.

My zip isn't covered. Now what?

Open the app and tap "Request my area." Every request pings the roadmap. We expand county-by-county; your request speeds it up.
